With Lumar, you can share Analyze dashboards and reports with non-Lumar users. This can be useful if, for example, you are working in an agency and want to show data collected by Lumar to a client, as they don't need to be set up as a user in the platform.
The share function in the top right corner of the screen exists on the overview dashboard, plus the dashboard for each category and subcategory, and every report in Lumar.
When you click the share button, a new modal will open.
In this modal, you can configure the following settings for sharing your dashboard or report:
- Access. This can be set to public or private.
- If set to Public, anyone with the link can view all crawls an reports within the project. They will not be able to view other projects, run crawls or make any changes to settings.
- If set to Private, the report will only be accessible to Lumar users who are a member of the account.
- Expiration Date. This can be set for Public access sharing, and you can choose for the link to expire in 24 hours, 1 week, 1 month, 6 weeks. You can also set it to never expire.
- Crawl. Here you can choose whether to share the crawl you are viewing, or the latest crawl. If you want to share a historic crawl (and if you haven't already done this) simply close the modal, select the date of the crawl you want to share from the top right corner, and then click the share button again.
At the bottom of the generate link modal, you'll see the link that is being generated, with a 'Copy link' button to the right hand side. Simply copy the link, close the modal and share the link.
When the receiver clicks on the link, they will be taken into the Lumar platform (without needing to login if it was a public share) and will be able to navigate through the reports and crawls for that project. When they've finished, they can click 'Stop using share link' in the top right corner to disable the link.
