Lumar’s site speed reports are logically grouped into the key Lighthouse metrics, to make finding the information you need as easy as possible.
You can see all the reports in one place by clicking ‘All Reports’ above the Site Speed Score on the Site Speed overview dashboard.
Each category then has a set of reports in it. For example, in the First Contentful Paint section, you’ll see reports specific to that metric.
When you click into a report, it will default to all URLs. However, you can limit the report to a specific segment of your site by selecting one at the top of the report. Once selected, the details of the report will be limited only to the URLs within that segment. Find out about creating segments.
At the top of each report, you’ll see an option to ‘Show Help’ next to the title of the report. Clicking this will open up some guidance on the report issue, to help you understand what the report is, what issues it may cause, how to fix it, and the positive impact of fixing the issue. Once you’ve opened the guidance, you can click ‘Hide Help’ to close.
At the top of the reports, you’ll see a trend graph for the issue, which shows progress and any spikes related to it.
Underneath the charts, you’ll see the report table which details each issue in a separate row. The columns that appear in the table will depend on the report you’re in, but will generally include:
- URL Details - Here you’ll see details of the issue, including:
- Opportunity Digest - This is a link that you can click on to get more information (see below)
- Element - The source code on the page that is causing the issue.
- Title - The title of the audit.
- Audit ID - The ID of the audit.
- Example URL - An example page that has the issue. Clicking on this link will take you to the page details view, where you can see all details about that particular URL.
- Average Wasted (sec) or Average Savings (KiB) - The average time wasted by the issue, of the average size savings for the issue (in kibibytes) across all issues.
- URL Count - The number of URLs that this issue has been found on.
- Total Savings - The total savings that can be made by fixing this issue, either in seconds or kibibytes.
- Total Pageviews - The total number of pageviews for the URLs that have this issue. This data is drawn from Google Analytics, if you’ve connected your GA account to Lumar.
- Savings Score - This score is calculated from a number of different savings metrics, multiplied by pageviews.
Within the table, you can drag and drop the columns into a different order, and clicking on the ellipses allows you to sort by ascending or descending (you can also click on the column headers for this), hide the columns, or show columns so you can add in any others you need.
