Data visualization in Lumar reports helps you quickly and easily understand themes and patterns, reducing the manual effort it takes to analyze data sets, and break reports down into an actionable set of data.
At the top of every report in Lumar, you’ll find a set of tabs showing:
- Trends & Segments (which will show after more than 1 crawl has completed)
- Breakdown
- Related Reports (where applicable)
On the breakdown tab, you’ll find four charts for the following key metrics:
- URL Component 1
- URL Component 2
- HTTP Status Code
- Indexable
Above the charts, you’ll see the option to change the reports for other dimensional metrics. Simply click on the drop-down for the chart you want to change, and choose the metric you want to use. The chart will then refresh to show you the new data. Once selected, your chosen metric will be stored in your local storage, so it will be displayed the next time you visit the report.
Hover over the chart segments to see more information, and click into any of the segments of the charts (or the associated legend) to apply a filter to the report table below. Once refreshed, you can then click on another segment of any chart to drill down further. You can also apply other filters in the normal way to refine your data set. If you manually apply filters in the usual way, the charts in the Breakdown tab will also refresh to reflect the data set below.
To remove the filters and return to the original data set, you can either delete individual filters, or remove them all by clicking on the x in the filter options.
