This release note covers improvements made since the last release note, and during the current month. It will therefore be updated as new improvements are made to the Lumar platform, and will be finalised and replaced with a new release note at the end of the month.
Lumar MCP Server
Release Date: 23 July 2026
We have launched the Lumar MCP server, which connects your AI assistant straight to your Lumar data. Add Lumar as a connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible assistant, then ask questions in plain English and get answers pulled from your live crawls, reports, and AI Visibility scores. Audit a crawl, trend your health score, build a segment and a task, or check how your brand shows up in AI answers, all without leaving the chat.
Because MCP is an open standard, you can run Lumar alongside your other connectors. Spot an issue in Lumar, open the Jira ticket, and brief the team in one conversation, something no single dashboard can do.
Setup takes about a minute, with no API key and nothing to install. Add the server URL https://mcp.lumar.io/mcp and log in with your own Lumar account, so your existing permissions carry over and you only ever see data you are already cleared to see.
One thing to check first: your data passes through your chosen AI assistant to answer your questions, and some providers may use it to train their models. Connect on a plan where the provider states your data will not be used for training, and clear it with your security team if you are on a company account.
